The new F-theta lens is mainly developed to apply laser foil cutting for batteries with 1064-nanometer lasers.
FREMONT, CA: Jenoptik has unveiled F-theta lens, which is mainly developed to apply laser foil cutting for batteries with 1064-nanometer lasers and is appropriate for high-volume serial production with ultrashort-pulse lasers. While designing this solution, Jenoptik considered the necessities of this cost-optimized market directed to a compact and competitive lens. The lens joins the Jenoptiks Silverline lens family for laser applications in the automotive supply market.
Due to the utilization of low-absorption fused silica and a robust optical coating, the F-theta lens is appropriate for applications that have ultrashort-pulse lasers and outputs into the kilowatt range. With the help of a focal length of 160 millimeters and the smallest spot size of around 23 micrometers, workpieces can be managed in a scan field of up to 50 x 50 millimeters. The improved lens design and an innovative lens mounting assist in the lens's full performance to be exploited while not having any back reflections in the lens.
These Silverline lenses are utilized across several sectors for ablating, drilling, welding, or soldering high-precision structures in plastics and metallic compounds. They convince with high damage threshold and ensure high-precision and reproducible working outcomes.
