Unfortunately, fossil fuels are not renewable unless we are ready to wait hundreds of millions of years, which is how long it took for fossil fuels to originate in the first place. Animal waste
Various animal feces can be used as energy sources. Poultry and animal manure are the most frequent, and they were collected and sold as agriculture liquid fertilizer or plowed back onto agricultural land. Because of the strict environmental controls on water pollution and odor, farms were required to have waste management procedures in place, creating a strong incentive for waste to energy conversion. Anaerobic digestion creates biogas, which is utilized as an internal combustion fuel and is the best method for converting this waste.
Solid waste and sewage
Every year, millions of tonnes of household waste are collected, with the majority of the rubbish being disposed of in open spaces. Direct combustion or natural anaerobic digestion in an engineered landfill can both be used to transform solid waste into electricity. The gas produced by natural decomposition at landfill sites is roughly 50 percent methane and 50 percent carbon dioxide. The gas is collected and cleaned before being injected into gas turbines or internal combustion engines to generate electricity and heat.
Forest residues
Forest leftovers result from activities such as logging road removal, plantation thinning, stem-wood extraction for wood and pulp, and natural forest thinning. Only 25 to 50 percent of the volume is taken during harvesting, leaving a residue on the site that can be used for biomass energy production.
