FREMONT, CA: KiloVault, a developer of creative and sustainable residential and industrial renewable energy solutions, recently launched the new 1200 HLX and 1200 CHLX heavy-duty deep-cycle lithium batteries. These 1,200 Watt-hour batteries supplement KiloVault's current 1,800 Wh and 3,600 Wh versions and handle 80A of continuous charging current and 100A of constant discharge current. The smaller size and decreased weight of 1200 HLX and 1200 CHLX make them suitable for applications like marine and RV/camper use, golf carts, medical equipment, and off-grid solar energy storage.
Like all HLX/CHLX batteries, the latest 1,200 Watt-hour models can be used in 12V, 24V, or 48V configurations with Bluetooth connectivity for simple health and performance tracking. This versatility combined with a 5,000-cycle lifespan (80 percent depth of discharge) and a low cost/kWh cycle gives consumers excellent value for their energy storage needs. After 2,000 cycles at a 100 percent discharge depth, the 1200 HLX or 1200 CHLX battery would maintain 80 percent or more of its original 1,200 Watt-hour storage capacity.
The batteries of the KiloVault HLX and CHLX series do not need aggressive cooling, as the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry employed in their cells is not subject to thermal leakage problems that other lithium technologies may face. These batteries do not need daily watering, desulphate, or equalization. Besides, they do not generate toxic off-gassing like lead-acid batteries making them safe for use in the driveway or even inside the house. HLXs and CHLXs are incredibly secure and low-maintenance batteries. They outperform equivalent lead-acid batteries by storing and discharging energy more effectively to produce 12 percent more available storage energy.
The 1200 CHLX features the same internal heating system as KiloVault's other CHLX batteries, enabling it to continue charging at low temperatures. As the air temperature dips below zero (32oF/0°C), the charging current is diverted through the battery's heating film to hold the interior temperature above freezing. If this is completed, the battery will restore regular charging. With built-in Bluetooth and simple HLX iT applications for iOS and Android devices, tracking the HLX and CHLX batteries' health and performance is simpler than ever before.
