VLS Environmental Solutions has acquired Texas Molecular, one of the largest independent industrial waste sequestration services producers.

I Squared Capital portfolio business VLS Environmental Solutions, a Houston-based environmental services company, has purchased Texas Molecular, one of the leading independent providers of industrial waste sequestration services in the United States. With the acquisition, VLS has expanded its environmental services to include hazardous waste processing and sequestration to meet North American industrial clients' diversified and expanding needs.
Texas Molecular, with facilities in Deer Park and Corpus Christi, specializes in managing, treating, and sequestrating hazardous and nonhazardous liquid industrial wastes. The company manages over 75 million gallons per year following its EPA RCRA and UIC Class 1 Hazardous Waste permits, utilizing industry-proven and effective technologies to safely and permanently sequester waste. VLS is committed to continuing Texas Molecular's extensive operational excellence and safety performance history. Chris Lobue and Jimmy Bracher have joined VLS to lead the company's growth into hazardous waste processing and sequestration. Chris is Vice President of Hazardous Waste, and Jimmy is Vice President of Hazardous Waste Sales.

The merged company has over 1,000 employees and 38 sites around the United States. Texas Molecular is the eleventh company acquired by VLS since 2017 and the third in the past twelve months. VLS is constantly investigating organic and inorganic options to develop its environmental services capabilities to meet its clients' waste processing requirements.
Texas Molecular has Brown Gibbons Lang & Company as its exclusive finance advisor, Nathan Sommers Jacobs P.C., and Kelley Drye & Warren LLP as its legal consultants. VLS and I Squared Capital retained Houlihan Lokey as their exclusive finance advisor and Kirkland & Ellis LLP as their legal advisor.
