Hairy Solar Panels
Nanotechnology is used in hairy solar panel technology, with microscopic light-absorbing nanowires on a carbon nanotube fabric. These nanowires, which are far tiny than the width of a human hair, may absorb more energy than silicon cells (used in conventional solar panels). Hairy solar panels may absorb up to 96% of the solar radiation that shines on them. This high-efficiency technology is also more structurally adaptable than standard solar panels, making it easier and less expensive to install in various settings.
Hairy solar panels have yet to enter the market, but if they do, there will be plenty of options. For example, they might enable electric cars to gather solar electricity and replace inefficient solar panels on roofs. Hairy solar panels are not as durable or long-lasting as conventional solar panels.
